REALSEC and DIODE sign distribution agreement for Iberian Peninsula
This alliance, which is part of REALSEC’s growth strategy for Spain and Portugal, also covers commercial and marketing actions to enhance and create new business opportunities.
Madrid, June 19, 2012. REALSEC, a Spanish company dedicated to the development of encryption and digital signature systems, and DIODE, a leading wholesaler in consumer computer and electronics products, have signed an agreement for the distribution of the manufacturer’s products in the Iberian Peninsula.
Encryption and digital signature will be, without a doubt, an especially strategic market over the next few years for two reasons: the first is because of increased implementation in our country, and second, because technologically it is a complement to security systems that ensure the integrity of electronic identity in financial, industrial, service sectors or in the cloud.
Thus, REALSEC’s objective with this alliance within their business development sector corresponds to the manufacturer’s strategy to collaborate with a specialized wholesaler in order to develop their business partner network. This agreement will allow REALSEC to position its technology and grow within the Iberian market which the manufacturer will ensure by signing this partnership with DIODE.
REALSEC’s Business and Channel Development Manager, Rafael Cuenca states: “Given the volume of our business, we needed to incorporate in Spain the position of wholesaler and DIODE met our requirements. Their experience; especially in the banking and industrial sectors, and experience in the security market plus their reputation and expertise have been key factors that we have taken into account when choosing DIODE. We are confident that the outcome of this collaboration will allow REALSEC to optimally develop its sales channel.”
A great business opportunity
For their part, DIODE in their continuous commitment for new IT security technologies, offers opportunities in specialized areas such as automatic identification where it is necessary to secure processes and where the wholesaler has a strong market presence. This means that the incorporation of REALSEC to their portfolio is a great business opportunity since the manufacturer’s solutions cover different areas and operate in a market where there are still untapped possibilities.
As Fernando Solabre, Business Development Manager and Sales Specialist in Cloud at DIODE tells us: “The encryption and digital signature market, and, in general, all of the technologies that support a society of information, are strategic areas for the next few years”. “Also”, he adds, “we are always looking for markets with great potential, and REALSEC technology has potential and not only fits perfectly with our line of business, but will also help to strengthen our security areas therefore enriching our portfolio.”
First steps: Training and Channel Specialization
Given that REALSEC’s technology, encryption and digital signature, requires specific knowledge by the partners, the agreement contemplates as a first step to establish, develop and educate the channel to achieve the necessary level of knowledge and expertise to tackle new projects. The ultimate objective is to consolidate REALSEC as a leader in the encryption and signature digital sector in Spain.
To do this, both companies have planned various trainings and certifications over the coming months that will help convert both partners in the technological choice in a new market in a simple yet competitive manner.
Within the alliance, they have also planned a set of commercial and marketing actions aimed at facilitating support tools that will contribute to market demand.ç
